Yes you read right! Sir Richard Branson of Virgin fame could be serving AirAsia passengers in a stewardess uniform – but only if Lotus F1 beats Virgin Racing in the battle of the newcomers. Lotus F1 chief Tony Fernandes will have to do the same on a Virgin Atlantic flight if the Malaysian backed team loses in the duel!

“He has an airline, we have an airline and if we beat him he can come and work on our airline as a Virgin stewardess. We will make sure that the stewardess outfit is perfect. I suspect that he might ask us to reciprocate. I’ll have to check how fetching his stewardess outfits are but I’d be game to do it while totally confident of winning,” said the Briton.

AirAsia boss Fernandes replied: “Bring it on, the sexier the better. Our passengers will be delighted to be served by a Knight of the Realm. But, knowing Richard, the real challenge will be to prevent him from asking our guests ‘coffee, tea or me?’ That would be scary,” he said.

These two “warring” friends subscribe to the power of publicity, so this challenge comes as no surprise. As much as I want Lotus F1 to do well, Tony Fernandes in a tight skirt would be quite a sight! What do you think?

So, techBiz just moved to another newly finished lab, a new facility we named Enterprise Lab.

It is a collaboration between techBiz, SCoPe and Penang Development Corporation (PDC) under new entity known as Penang Cluster Alliance Sdn Bhd.

The whole idea of this is to help to develop and groom new enterpreneur in ICT. We shall be dealing with cubicle rental, virtual offices leasing and ICT events.

I have always hated accounting during lower form and was lucky enough during high school time not to have to take this subject. But as time goes by and when I dealt with so many accounting and investment needs, I can't get away but to feel a little regret not having to learn it during school time, which I would have all the time in the world to study on the subject.

Yes, being a programmer has been my dream for as long as I can remember when I first learnt about computer. But, I have never thought that accounting would play a crucial part of what I am developing about. Now, the subject is the main 'course' in my daily routine to look up into, because my company's primary product is an accounting system.

I may never have dreamt about it, but oddly enough, now I am spending sometime to teach myself accounting principle and got myself high school's book to learn from. I need to catch-up quick as this one doesn't have year end exam, but rather tested everyday by our customers.

I was cleaning my boxes of books and CDs to make sure that they are still good. Well, I do need some more space after all since my collection of books keep on being added from time to time. Then, I found two discs labelled USM (International Office's Homestay 2005). One of the disc was irrecoverable (have lots of pics!) But, still I am glad that one the disc was somehow intact. (To prevent the same 'disaster', I have copied all the files inside the CD into my hard disk.)

Microsoft Windows 7 - Test Review

So, I had the chance last night to give a try on the new Windows 7, which was said to debut on this coming October. It was amazing! But to be honest, it is so much alike to Vista. Perhaps the way it looks and its menu arrangements. I think that I am still in love with Windows XP, which it is not much cluttered and easy to use without having to bypass so many security measures.

Ok back to what I had tried, Windows 7. First, we get to install the system onto a Compaq laptop. The installation was smooth! Finishing the installation, we need to update drivers so that the laptop can command to work with its attached peripherals. Other than Intel Wireless, other drivers worked and installed smoothly. Then we had to lookout for XP drivers from Intel website. This part was a bit tricky and time consuming. To look-out and download is one thing and Windows taking a longer time to update and install is another. Other than that, I don't see a reason why Windows 7 can't work with a laptop or its current devices.

Installing 3rd party program seems to be easy, except that Windows tend to take a longer time to verify the executables and passing its own security. Apart than that, these programs worked fine (but have not tried many other programs, just few that I can put my hand into).

The taskbar has new looks, unlike to Windows XP that horizontal bar will stretched to display program's or document's name, Windows 7 just show program’s icon. And it is grouping accordingly. I think this is somewhat alike to Mac, where minimised program will show icon on the deck (the last time I used Mac, my own, was last year's September & October - the version that works on Intel - MacOS X Tiger).

Running installed 3rd party program was easy!! Ah, one thing - the Internet Explorer has been integrated to default search to use BING, Microsoft's own search engine. Another thing, the icons are huge, hate that!

I don't really have a say in this, whether we should migrate from XP (or currently Vista) to Windows 7. Perhaps, we need to wait for some more time until it has been used by many other user and its future holes being padded by SP1.

As for me, I will stay on course using Windows XP (easy and less tricky) as well as Windows Server 2003. Not only these two systems are still stable for common but both use less space and fewer resources. I know that nowadays space cost is not an issue anymore (1GB can only cost around RM0.30), but other things need to be factored in.
In this Windows 7, I don’t get myself to use or find many other significant differences, perhaps it was due to my experience with Vista during my last job in USM.

Why I don't think that I will not be upgrading to Windows 7 just yet? Here can be some simple reasons:

I used my laptop mainly for:
1. Chatting on YM.
2. Checking my facebook & blog.
3. Watching movies.
4. Develop script-based program.
5. Still hooked to Visual Basic 6 (I hate dotNET which slowing down my system).
6. I am still working on some DOS-based program, which Windows Vista & 7 perhaps might not support.

So, why do I need to upgrade to another system I am not familiar with? Perhaps in time, like the last time when I upgraded my system from Windows 98 to XP. I gave so many reasons not to upgrade, only after I get to use other people's XP then I decided that I need to have on my own as a little insurance to cover against the common Windows 98 BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

Last but not least, I would still like to welcome Windows 7 into the community. Only time will tell whether it is going to be a success (and eventually a successful successor for XP) or another disaster after Vista. Until that time, let's keep fingers crossed.

it was raining that day, but the sky was beautiful. not only after the heavy pouring water, but after spending some cold moments getting myself wet, the sky returns to be amazing again. there are so many thing that i missed, my childhood time when i was separated and my crazy time during school-breaks. perhaps, i am spending lavishly for some cozy life, but i don't see that is right anymore, because you can never buy your childhood dreams and laughs again.

Movie Review: Angels & Demons (2009)

For those who read those interestingly novels by Dan Brown must have known that this is one of the best title ever, apart from Da Vinci Code and I also love to read Digital Fortress. After a huge success adapting Da Vinci Code on the silver screen, then come Angels & Demons.

So yesterday, after reading numerous reviews and of course some 'moral' support - I aptly after inane day-off doing nothing, went to TGV and bought myself a ticket. Well, it was movie day and got myself a half-priced ticket.

Once again, A&D cannot be departed from Vatican and its history - introducing Illuminati (another interesting subjects in the course of history that live on its own mystery) as a lining-up battle between religion and science.

Along the way, there was a conclave residing to decide a new pope to take over the throne. It was an amazing experience to learn about papacy systems, which I read fascinatingly after the death of John Paul II on the news.

Then, the combination of science as depicted through progress development at CERN to 'catch' anti-matter from energy released after collision brought us to another level of imagination. One great piece of imagination, I would say.

Whilst the director took us to many places around Rome (Pantheon - House of Every God) to the limited-access archive in Vatican City as well as high-point of churches tops to the subterranean of necropolis in order to solve the Illuminati puzzles and riddles, I have to say - this is too, amazing 'visits'.

The director had tried to put (but limited) other information on the ground of 25 December and the original history of Vatican City that was once the site for pagan religion for Roman pre-Christianity and the date of 25 December was to celebrate the Son on Sun (a god in pagan Roman).

Perhaps, as some other suggest their upsets over some failures of the director to really adapting the story from its original novel - I would still want to give an applause for him as he had successfully made a piece of art that perhaps not an easy one to produce. I really enjoyed it, that I do wish that one day, I shall be able to be at St Peter's to watch another Pope's ceremony (despite my belief).

As for others, I would still suggest GO and WATCH. You'll sure enjoy it though, it create sa little 'dimension' (or perhaps, better a little straying course) from the original novel. I'd give 4 out of 5.

Went to Putrajaya Mosque (under maintenance at that time) for noon prayer. I was marvelled (still, though this is not the first time around) with its beautifully crafted and designed. But the gaze stopped when a voice saying, "Sir, please... Taking photo is not allowed!", and to find a woman of late 20-s walking in the male chamber showing time-offs sign.

I do find this irritating, perhaps it is because to seeing a woman in the male praying hall and secondly someone to say so many NO. I still can't figure out why people are not allowed to take photos inside the mosque. We are not posing for picture, we are taking the beautiful arts above our heads (unless someone can fly and ask for someone to snap theirs).

I've been to so many places of other religion (Bhuddist, Christian, etc), but only to find my religion has many 'strict' tension of YES and NO. While I observe other rules and laws of Islam, but human-made-law-bind-in-the-religion-name to be one we Malays still had to have in the observation.

While being here for out-of-office job at client's - my colleague and I spent some wonder time in Melaka, like I never did it before. To wait for dusk on the St Paul's hill, walk through the old buildings at night and wondering what would have it been 400 or 500 years ago....

eyeOS :: Cloud Computing OS

This one really caught my interest the first time I read it on an article. Ever since, I keep myself updated for its latest upgrading version. I even set it up in my laptop for personal usage.

I do somehow think that some day, the computing will advance to another stage where you can access the same OS environment from anywhere and while on the go. Use it once on a laptop and access it again as the last time you used it from your mobile.

As I had planned earlier, I shall run a personal dedicated server to provide eyeOS for some close colleagues. Perhaps, when I get my personal server connected to internet and allowing access from outside of local network. Got to wait…

While I do like the idea, eyeOS has yet to be a big and sophisticated enough to provide fully featured of daily working system. I need to use word processor and spreadsheet – and the last version I had used has yet to support Microsoft format on its own. Rather need to use OpenOffice conversion. I am optimist that one day, eyeOS shall be able to provide the same spectrum of usage if not the same length of capability.

Looks can be deceiving, but it certainly makes wonder almost all the time. eyeOS has good interface and pretty much easy to navigate.

I would like to see, what will eyeOS turns into in another 2, 5 or 10 years to come.

Internet Explorer vs Google Chrome

At first, I thought I would rather stay with Internet Explorer 6, since I like the neat and clean interface. I never want to upgrade to IE 7 or IE 8.

Later, Google Chrome came into the scenery. It managed to suit me well, since it has the largest space I have ever seen. Less menu and more space to maximise a website.

But as many other new softwares, bug and bug and bug again. Though many versions came out, it still eating out my resources and at times cut me bleeding when it hang in a 'mission' surfing. Hate that... Besides, Chrome still based too much on the Netscape and Mozilla things, where it missed on some other issues - it did not support 100% CSS and JavaScript that shows well in IE.

I am a developer, most of my system is web-based. So, I prefer my system to use the advantage offered by CSS and Javascript to its maximum capability. I cannot let Chrome put a limit to that. In my development, I still make considerations for Chrome and other browsers. So, I have to developed less-advanced CSS and Javascript... So, I am spending extra time for that.

Escaping back to IE doesn't mean all the problems would have been fixed and sorted. There are other bugs in IE 6, where at times it would crush. Hate that. So, it created a reason and needs for me to update to IE 7.

It has been a week since I am using IE 7. Now, I am spending much of my time on IE after been using Chrome since it was a little baby. Perhaps, when Chrome has passed the age and compatibility test, then I will turn and wandering the net's tidal on it again.

The concept is nice, except the small (corner) table. I would prefer no table, but a frame put higher but below the TV set. What really attracted me were the wallpaper, ceiling, curtains and the seatings. Still I do have my own idea...

Movie Review :: Dragonball - Evolution (2009)

Dragonball is back. Now set your time to collect it!

I have always marvelled and attached to Dragonball quite personally. It was 1994 and I was in elementary school when a friend introduced the class with a new comic. It changed hands very often and at the end of the day, the first issue was tore and wore down.

All of us can't wait for the next issue until later it stopped when I was a junior student at a grammar school.

But the rave started again in 2001 when I was in prep-college, where a bunch of students would wait every Saturday not to miss the cartoon-plays show on TV.

When the movie went out (12th March in Malaysia), a friend asked me out to fulfil his delight of childhood interest. Ok, I said. We went for TGV at Seberang Perai City.

Unlike other movie that I can write a peering review, this one will lack so many comments except that I would say - "If you don't mind to parted away with your money, then go..."

I really am up to something when I first walked in. I do hope that it could raved-up my childhood comic characters, but it has not completed the wish. To make it worse, the blend of lined-up actors seems to be a complete disaster. Chow Yun-fatt could never live the comical shell-back Kame-hame Ha.

There's nothing much I can write about this movie, sorry for that. But, allow me to quote a conversation I over-heard, "So many things lack in this movie. It's not even 50% comparable to the comics nor the tv shows."

Movie Review :: Geng - Pengembaraan Bermula (2009)

Finally, I went for GENG: Pengembaraan Bermula (Gang: The Adventure Begins) last night with a newly met friend at Sunway Carnival’s GSC. It really amazed me, when I am looking up at the seats on the booking screen where most of them have been bought or reserved. The only left unoccupied would either be the double-seatings on the sides or couple-seats at the last row. Never knew that it really is attracting so many movie-goers.

That was one story, this is another story. In the movie theater, every seat was fully occupied. In front of me, a double-seat sat by three persons. I would call it a full-house, as the “never-bought” front rows were also taken. Gosh, Upin & Ipin really made their days!

I found the movie to be rather ordinary yet complex in its presentation. The dry thought of dry comical essence thrown by Upin or Ipin made some way for laughter. The pretty Kak Ros not much living to her sense as was in her series.

I would rather say that the story line has been over developed and too much exaggerated. While the characters of Upin & Ipin (may perhaps not totally lost to the City Boys, but) was somehow shaded and drought.

There were elements of shocking and awe. I even came to the stunt for few scenes (and Amir was laughing at me, so bad ah you! The last time I made noticeable stunt was during Pirates of Caribbean with David.)

One thing that I have to put here is that a comment by office-mate who went there earlier with her children: “The children were jumping from their seats!”

I may prefer the series, but this movie has really made it ways! Go for Upin & Ipin.

PS: I think that the subtitle needs to be studied again. At some point, it relaying wrong perception and rendering wrong meaning on a particular situation.

Just finished reading this *very* interesting book that I would say to you, "Hey, go get one!" - It was presented in a narrative as Zainuddin Maidin experienced it through his life and the story told as to what the author believes into.

A great and genius leader, Dr Mahathir - to which I believe even the opposition could have been agree that he had contributed so much into Malaysia's development be that economy or mentality.

From being consumer society, he turned us into producer society. From importing cars, we exported them. While keeping at pace producing raw materials for exports, we produce finished product for the same purpose. Not only creating money, we are creating bigger money by giving more jobs to our people.

He dares to dreams for us and he too, who had turned them into reality. I can't imagine Kuala Lumpur without KLCC or LRT.

I grew with my grandfather, whom has a character to love reading. He read almost anything, and there wouldn't be time that he'd spend without any book in his hand during his spare time. I think that I got the habit from him - I cannot sleep learning that I have bought a new book and I have not read it. The pic above shown some of books that I still keep on reading, from time to time (numerous times).

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - World Jewish leaders told Vatican officials that denying the Holocaust was "not an opinion but a crime" when they met on Monday to discuss a bishop they accuse of being anti-Semitic.

The meetings, the first since the controversy over Bishop Richard Williamson, who denies the extent of the Holocaust, began last month, took place three days before Pope Benedict is due to address a group of American Jewish leaders.

Williamson told Swedish television in an interview broadcast in January: "I believe there were no gas chambers." He said no more than 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps, rather than the 6 million accepted by most historians.

"Today we strongly reaffirmed that the denial of the Shoah is not an opinion, but a crime," said Richard Prasquier, president of the French Jewish umbrella organisation CRIF, using the Hebrew word for Holocaust.

Prasquier and Maram Stern, deputy secretary of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), held talks with Cardinal Walter Kasper, head of the Vatican office that handles religious relations with Jews.

"We want the Vatican to realise that by accommodating anti-Semites like Williamson, the achievements of four decades of Catholic-Jewish dialogue ... will be put into doubt," WJC President Ronald Lauder said in a statement. (my note: See, even the Christian Leaders bestowing to the living Jews as if their orders came grom God)

"We now believe that our message has been understood. The controversial debate of the past three weeks has had a positive impact," said Lauder, who did not attend the meetings.

Catholic-Jewish relations have been extremely tense since Jan. 24, when Benedict lifted excommunications of four renegade traditionalist bishops, including Williamson, in an attempt to heal a schism that began in 1988 when they were ordained without Vatican permission.

Among those who have condemned Williamson and the pope's decision are Holocaust survivors, progressive Catholics, U.S. legislators, Israeli leaders, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Jewish writer and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel.

A Church source said Israel's Chief Rabbinate, which had pulled out of dialogue, has decided to resume talks and will come to the Vatican either in late February or mid-March.

The Vatican has ordered Williamson to publicly recant his position. Over the weekend, traditionalist leaders said he had been removed as head of a seminary in Argentina.

Germany's Spiegel magazine on Saturday quoted Williamson as saying he first had to review historical evidence on the Holocaust before considering an apology to Jews.

"I ask everyone to believe me that I did not deliberately say something false. I was, on the basis of my research in the 1980s, convinced of the accuracy of my comments. Now I must examine everything again and look at the evidence," he said.

Williamson is part of the ultra-traditionalist Society of St Pius X (SSPX), which does not accept all the teachings of the 1962-1965 Second Vatican Council. It repudiated the concept of collective Jewish guilt for Christ's death and urged dialogue with other religions.

The Vatican has said the SSPX must accept all Council teachings before they can be fully re-admitted into the Church.

This photograph was taken from a collection shot during Greece Revolution (2008) and has lots of meaning that when I try to put it into Malaysian's frame - it doesn't suit good. Don't ask me why, because I can only see that Malaysian is so much more fanatic and their thinking especially the Malays (though hard to say and bitter to swallow) - "they are the one who are right and don't try to challenge", they can also go to war unprepared and there shall be no second thought and they shall close their heart to other opinion.

While these may not be all be true, but those are all that I have experienced through observations and concoctions.

Well, they still keep it hung tight to "Tak Melayu Hilang Di Dunia" (The Malays Shall Never Vanished) by Hang Tuah and I don't see any work progressing to it, except deprivation and hunger to destroy those small things they own. Good for them.

I have always hated Maths!

Back then during junior school, I would never want to attend maths classes. For three consecutive years, I got three different maths teachers who at every start of the class will asked that everyone to submit homework (since every last class would be given some from textbook) and those who didn't do their homeworks get punished. I hate doing homeworks, I would rather spend my time reading, that was why I prefer Geography and History classes.

I hate algebra class and I hate matrices. Those that I hated the most seems to be one I am good at.

During junior college, I would give up and try to look for excuses not to attend Additional Maths, but try my best to keep fresh during Modern Maths. I got punished many times, numerous punishments - for lateness or incompleteness - that is why for the freshness looks. I still remember Cikgu Nazliah!

When things turned out badly and when I already lost hope; hey, majority of student hated add-maths - there were two teachers who believe that add-maths is no other difficult but rather conceptualised in my head.

Both of them took their time to tutoring me privately - during recess hour and during prep-time after school. I owed them too many, that when no one believes in me, they do. I would give them thousand and million of thanks, but that would never be enough - to Cikgu Nik and Cikgu Chempaka. And one who made me believe in myself, Cikgu Omar - "You had never realised, the gift you have until your work yourself to find it! Sebab cikgu percaya..."

Ok, guess what was my major for undergraduate study? I applied for Mathematical Modeling and studied on scholarship at USM - no, it is not about counting your step on fashion show gala, but I believe it is more about how you understand what is happening around you through mathematics.

I have always hated maths, but then things around me resolving so much through mathematical formulae. The mortgage, the auto-loan, credit card debts, investment returns, etc...

I guess I can always hate Mathematics, but it will keep on haunting me on my walks...

Remember when 100MB was a lot?

OK, I stumbled upon Rapidshare information on Wikipedia which claimed to have 450 Petabytes. For those who wonder how many is that, take a little maths test here. 1,000 Terabytes is 1 Petabyes, while 1,000 Gigabytes make it 1 Terabytes and to reach that 1,000 Megabytes bounded 1 Gigabytes. So, you do the math!

I remember when I was in junior school, back then 1997/1998. My first PC that I was working with during computer classes in 1996 runs on MS-DOS and Windows 3.11 (every command needs to be invoked into prompt to have it executed), the space was 20MB - it is unimaginable to have a 20MB hard disk on modern PC in the year 2009.

In 1997, we have new PCs - this time the disk space is 750MB each which sounded pretty much ALOT! My first programming was on QBasic 4.5 and the compiled files would not be more than 50KB and 100KB was considered ALOT! Whilst simple programming nowadays in VB 6 would need around 250kb to 1MB. Very much different.

The time gap was only 10 years. In 1998 on 750MB, but in 2008 1GB sound so petty. My first PC, ran on 20GB, before I upgraded it into 80GB in 2003. In 2005, again I get another 160GB. In 2007, I get another piece of 250GB. In 2008, I bought another 400GB and 1TB disks.

If I can put all disk that I am currently working with: 20GB + 80GB + 160GB + 250GB + 400GB + 1,000GB make it 1,910GB in total or 1.9TB and this does not include another 160GB I have in my laptop. To be honest, I am already need for another 1TB to store more information that I downloaded from Rapidshare.

My first laptop, COMPAQ ran on 20GB and this ASUS runs on 160GB.

First flash-drive I have is 64MB which already alot because at that time I am using Iomega ZIP drive which support up to 250MB but was so much slow (connected through cable socket, not USB) and I appreciate that 64MB because it was faster, smaller and does not need extra power socket.

From 64MB, I got upgraded to 256MB for RM300 (in 2004) and again to 512MB (in 2005). In 2007, I get myself 4GB flash-drive (RM115) that I keep on using till today. To add more, my sister's PC that she bought in 1999 ran on 4GB hard disk, which is the same unit as my flash drive.

Unlike years ago, that I have to delete lot of files once I see my hard disk needs room - it is so much different today. I allocate one hard disk (or its partitions) to certain type of files. Movies, Ebooks, MP3s, Pictures (taken using digital camera), working files, etc... So much that at times, I forgot what I had stored and when I came across them, I would smile and say to myself "uh... another memory flashing across."

Best of all, I do have copy of files that I had done in 1998. Almost all files during computer classes and project in 1999/2000 (during Junior College), all the files during Prep-College (except one CD that I cannot recover anymore and contained the "best presentation ever made" for my batch) and all the files during undergraduates (except 1st year files due to some mishaps).

My next plan is to fork out a data server to run at 4TB as I need to backup huge data. Outlook emails, personal files and so many other files that I keep on downloading almost daily from Rapidshare.

There is no simple solution on civilian casualties unless the two fighting parties step into a ring and slugs it out and leaves the civilians out of harms way.

The comment by Bravo Echo Echo Romeo, I must say: brilliant. Because it comes from someone from a nation that claimed to be well developed (English: past tense) and has for years fought for democracy and rights and claimed to be the best.

But, all I can sum up from his (or perhaps her) comments was that - the value of 10,000 non-American lives will NEVER equal to ONE American. What makes American so special and needed to be treated with super care? Because they have extra white skins? Or they have the most blondes in the world? Or is it that they can keep money rolling in by just pressing PRINT function? (Or maybe because they have the most super-heroes in the world)

At least living in Malaysia, we don't have the shadow to feel horror to look at the police. Nor do we terrified to have same flights with Arabs. Nor we feel insecure and needed to attack weapon-LESS country. In fact our small country claimed our independence without the loss of blood, unlike yours.

If America has everything - then I don't think that they would needed China to produce materials for them. Or petroleum from Iraq to fuel their economy.

Yes, Malaysia's economy is so much dependant to export - but to the very least - we don't do harm to the world. Where Americans shed and teared so many foreign economies (remember Asian Financial Crisis 1997) and current crises are for America to blame!

Yes, America may not need us, because we don't sell weapon to kill another human. America may not need us, because we don't have enough money to buy their bubble-to-burst products. America may not need us, because we don't know how to slaughter another human. America may also not need us, because we have so many reasons to be contradicted to each other.

At least, other people don't see Malaysians as disgust as our fellow whites in US. Or can I say, blacks as well?

Ok, we don't have to play muddy-game here... Let's go to fact.

Saying that America is super-power - but its economic fuelled by debt money and the debt burden pass to the tax-payer. Then what is super, what is power? Who's richer, who's poorer?

I know this is hard to swallow and may be bitter, but rest-assured my American friends (whom at some point, I kept and I keep very dearly in my heart) - what I wrote above was just something that I hope is not too general, that it goes to few specific person or group. We know each other better and I hope our relations will not be tarnished. Just treat my post/review as something I would say when I got hard hit. (in fact previous post, pose a picture of dearly American friend)

FRIENDS

(This is the text speech that I had used during my public speaking which was presented in front of the audience at the PMKN's Hall on Monday 30th July 2001.)

To my friends,
Past, present and future...

"To have a friend, be a friend!"

We have all kinds of friends, some are good, and some are not. So what is friendship, really?

Friendship, they say, differs from all other relationship. Unlike acquaintanceship, friendship is based on loved. Unlike lovers and married couples, friendship is free from jealousy. Unlike children and parents, friendship knows neither criticism nor resentment.

Friendship has no status in law. Business partnerships are based on contract, so is marriage. Parents are bound by the law, as are the children.

Friendship is freely entered into, freely given and freely exercised; otherwise it is not friendship. Need to remember, to give and to take are two things that differ. Friendship, is NOT something that is accepted today and outdated tomorrow, it is forever!

Friendship begins with sincerity. It is full of forgiveness. With just a smile, you can build an interaction and bond to anew friendship. It risks you absolutely nothing.

As a friend, one cannot and should not expect anything in return. People come into our lives for a reason, or perhaps, for a season. When it is for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed, and if it is for a season, then, they have be fair-weather friends!

Friends are like gold, they are a treasure. They don’t cheat, lie to or take advantage of, one another. Friends; do not spy on one another, they have no secrets. Friends bask in each other’s success, and despair over failures. Friends minister to each other, nurse each other.

Friends; give, worry, stand by, and are always ready to help. If you speak to oneself, no one would hear, but if you speak to one else, they would understand you dear.

Perfect friendship is rarely achieved, but if you do have it, you are indeed blessed. Be a friend, it is a rewarding experience. Don’t expect anything in return. Lifetime relationship, teaches you lifetime lessons. It is said, that love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant, accept it, as it is relatively unchanged since then and although.

My desktop has been cleaned, no more rubbish program icons. New wallpaper of living instead of blue sandy beach or faraway hamlet. My laptop is getting slower. (Is it due age? erk!) Going to format again later. Has lot settings to be backed-up.

I used to remember, I once finished formatting my laptop and a friend asked that it is as if that I have not formatted at all, because the wallpaper is the same, desktop icons arrangement seems don't change. Windows username and picture still intact. List of installed program has not vary.

I have no answer but one - I like to keep the way I use my laptop. Hence, I use some tools to backup the settings prior formatting and later get them restored. Like my Yahoo Messenger settings, My Documents folders and contents, Microsoft Outlook and some other important settings. I also use the same software that I am comfortable with and don't like to install too many software into my laptop, since it is not only taking up my space but being redundant as well.

Now my Asus is ONE year old. The one that remains loyal to me...

Movie Review : Accidental Husband (2008)

Last night, I was unable to sleep. So at 1 am - I played the movie to fill my "time" and waiting for my eyes to get tired again so I can go to bed.

Comedy as it might sounds and romantic at it may seems - Accidental Husband has a unique way of finding Love.

R-E-A-L.

R - Is he Responsible?

E - Is he your Equal?

A - Is he an Adult?

L - Is he Loving?

As Dr Emmaline Willing Llyod put it through on her radio broadcast - Real Love.

It wreaks havoc for most of her advices made grief - by torning away relationships. And that happened to Patrick Sullivan when his fiance is having a second thought and put an end to their relationship.

As way to make his revenge - and using Ajay's ability to make a "glitch", he made our Dr Love to be married hence in order for Dr Love to get married to her fiance, she needs to annul her previous "marriage."

Guess to whom she got married to? Take no other answer than Patrick Sullivan himself. So, she went over to Astoria to get him signed "some" (127 pages) papers to their "annulment."

From here, he develops love and she get swayed along.

This is a romantic comedy where "it is ok to make few mistakes" and find your true love so "you can stop to looking over your shoulder."

I would say, "Go and watch this!" as I would rate 3/5 - for their characters and contents.

The Moral Insanity Behind the Lies and Crimes of Israel in Gaza

Nearly 70 ago, in the course of World War II, a heinous crime was committed in the city of Leningrad. For more than 1000 days, a gang of extremists called “the Red Army” held the millions of the town's inhabitants hostage and provoked retaliation from the German Wehrmacht from inside the population centers. The Germans had no alternative but to bomb and shell the population and to impose a total blockade, which caused the death of hundreds of thousands.

Some time before that, a similar crime was committed in England. The Churchill gang hid among the population of London, misusing the millions of citizens as a human shield. The Germans were compelled to send their Luftwaffe and reluctantly reduce the city to ruins. They called it the Blitz.

This is the description that would now appear in the history books – if the Germans had won the war.

Absurd? No more than the daily descriptions in our media, which are being repeated ad nauseam: the Hamas “terrorists” use the inhabitants of Gaza as “hostages” and exploit the women and children as “human shields”, they leave us no alternative but to carry out massive bombardments, in which, to our deep sorrow, thousands of women, children and unarmed men are killed and injured.

In this war, as in any modern war, propaganda plays a major role. The disparity between the forces, between the Israeli army – with its warplanes, gunships, drones, warships, artillery and tanks – and the few thousand lightly armed Hamas fighters, is one to a thousand, perhaps one to a million. In the political arena the gap between them is even wider. But in the propaganda war, the gap is almost infinite.

Almost all the Western media initially repeated the official Israeli propaganda line. They almost entirely ignored the Palestinian side of the story, not to mention the daily demonstrations of the Israeli peace camp. The rationale of the Israeli government (“The state must defend its citizens against the Qassam rockets”) has been accepted as the whole truth. The view from the other side, that the Qassams are a retaliation for the siege that starves the one and a half million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, was not mentioned at all.

Only when the horrible scenes from Gaza started to appear on Western TV screens did world public opinion gradually begin to change.

True, Western and Israeli TV channels showed only a tiny fraction of the dreadful events that appear 24 hours every day on Al-Jazeera's Arabic channel, but one picture of a dead baby in the arms of its terrified father is more powerful than a thousand elegantly constructed sentences from the Israeli army spokesman. And that is what is decisive, in the end.

War – every war – is the realm of lies. Whether called propaganda or psychological warfare, everybody accepts that it is right to lie for one's country. Anyone who speaks the truth runs the risk of being branded a traitor.

The trouble is that propaganda is most convincing for the propagandist himself. And after you convince yourself that a lie is the truth and falsification reality, you can no longer make rational decisions.

An example of this process surrounds the most shocking atrocity of this war so far: the shelling of the UN Fakhura school in Jabaliya refugee camp.

Immediately after the incident became known throughout the world, the army “revealed” that Hamas fighters had been firing mortars from near the school entrance. As proof they released an aerial photo which indeed showed the school and the mortar. But within a short time the official army liar had to admit that the photo was more than a year old. In brief: a falsification.

Later the official liar claimed that “our soldiers were shot at from inside the school”. Barely a day passed before the army had to admit to UN personnel that that was a lie, too. Nobody had shot from inside the school, no Hamas fighters were inside the school, which was full of terrified refugees.

But the admission made hardly any difference anymore. By that time, the Israeli public was completely convinced that “they shot from inside the school”, and TV announcers stated this as a simple fact.

So it went with the other atrocities. Every baby metamorphosed, in the act of dying, into a Hamas “terrorist”. Every bombed mosque instantly became a Hamas base, every apartment building an arms cache, every school a terror command post, every civilian government building a “symbol of Hamas rule”. Thus the Israeli army retained its purity as the “most moral army in the world”.

The truth is that the atrocities are a direct result of the war plan. This reflects the personality of Ehud Barak – a man whose way of thinking and actions are clear evidence of what is called “moral insanity”, a sociopathic disorder.

The real aim (apart from gaining seats in the coming elections) is to terminate the rule of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. In the imagination of the planners, Hamas is an invader which has gained control of a foreign country. The reality is, of course, entirely different.

The Hamas movement won the majority of the votes in the eminently democratic elections that took place in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. It won because the Palestinians had come to the conclusion that Fatah's peaceful approach had gained precisely nothing from Israel – neither a freeze of the settlements, nor release of the prisoners, nor any significant steps toward ending the occupation and creating the Palestinian state. Hamas is deeply rooted in the population ... but also as a political and religious body that provides social, educational and medical services.

From the point of view of the population, the Hamas fighters are not a foreign body, but the sons of every family in the Strip and the other Palestinian regions. They do not “hide behind the population”, the population views them as their only defenders.

Therefore, the whole operation is based on erroneous assumptions. Turning life into living hell does not cause the population to rise up against Hamas, but on the contrary, it unites behind Hamas and reinforces its determination not to surrender. The population of Leningrad did not rise up against Stalin, any more than the Londoners rose up against Churchill.

He who gives the order for such a war with such methods in a densely populated area knows that it will cause dreadful slaughter of civilians. Apparently that did not touch him. Or he believed that “they will change their ways” and “it will sear their consciousness”, so that in future they will not dare to resist Israel.

A top priority for the planners was the need to minimize casualties among the soldiers, knowing that the mood of a large part of the pro-war public would change if reports of such casualties came in. That is what happened in Lebanon Wars I and II.

This consideration played an especially important role because the entire war is a part of the election campaign. Ehud Barak, who gained in the polls in the first days of the war, knew that his ratings would collapse if pictures of dead soldiers filled the TV screens.

Therefore, a new doctrine was applied: to avoid losses among our soldiers by the total destruction of everything in their path. The planners were not only ready to kill 80 Palestinians to save one Israeli soldier, as has happened, but also 800. The avoidance of casualties on our side is the overriding commandment, which is causing record numbers of civilian casualties on the other side.

That means the conscious choice of an especially cruel kind of warfare – and that has been its Achilles heel.

A person without imagination, like Barak (his election slogan: “Not a Nice Guy, but a Leader”) cannot imagine how decent people around the world react to actions like the killing of whole extended families, the destruction of houses over the heads of their inhabitants, the rows of boys and girls in white shrouds ready for burial, the reports about people bleeding to death over days because ambulances are not allowed to reach them, the killing of doctors and medics on their way to save lives, the killing of UN drivers bringing in food. The pictures of the hospitals, with the dead, the dying and the injured lying together on the floor for lack of space, have shocked the world. No argument has any force next to an image of a wounded little girl lying on the floor, twisting with pain and crying out: “Mama! Mama!”

The planners thought that they could stop the world from seeing these images by forcibly preventing press coverage. The Israeli journalists, to their shame, agreed to be satisfied with the reports and photos provided by the army spokesman, as if they were authentic news, while they themselves remained miles away from the events. Foreign journalists were not allowed in either, until they protested and were taken for quick tours in selected and supervised groups. But in a modern war, such a sterile manufactured view cannot completely exclude all others – the cameras are inside the strip, in the middle of the hell, and cannot be controlled. Al-Jazeera broadcasts the pictures around the clock and reaches every home.

The battle for the TV screen is one of the decisive battles of the war.

Hundreds of millions of Arabs from Mauritania to Iraq, more than a billion Muslims from Nigeria to Indonesia see the pictures and are horrified. This has a strong impact on the war. Many of the viewers see the rulers of Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority as collaborators with Israel in carrying out these atrocities against their Palestinian brothers.

The security services of the Arab regimes are registering a dangerous ferment among the peoples. Hosni Mubarak, the most exposed Arab leader because of his closing of the Rafah crossing in the face of terrified refugees, started to pressure the decision-makers in Washington, who until that time had blocked all calls for a cease-fire. These began to understand the menace to vital American interests in the Arab world and suddenly changed their attitude – causing consternation among the complacent Israeli diplomats.

People with moral insanity cannot really understand the motives of normal people and must guess their reactions. “How many divisions has the Pope?” Stalin sneered. “How many divisions have people of conscience?” Ehud Barak may well be asking.

As it turns out, they do have some. Not numerous. Not very quick to react. Not very strong and organized. But at a certain moment, when the atrocities overflow and masses of protesters come together, that can decide a war.

The failure to grasp the nature of Hamas has caused a failure to grasp the predictable results. Not only is Israel unable to win the war, Hamas cannot lose it.

Even if the Israeli army were to succeed in killing every Hamas fighter to the last man, even then Hamas would win. The Hamas fighters would be seen as the paragons of the Arab nation, the heroes of the Palestinian people, models for emulation by every youngster in the Arab world. The West Bank would fall into the hands of Hamas like a ripe fruit, Fatah would drown in a sea of contempt, the Arab regimes would be threatened with collapse.

If the war ends with Hamas still standing, bloodied but unvanquished, in face of the mighty Israeli military machine, it will look like a fantastic victory, a victory of mind over matter.

What will be seared into the consciousness of the world will be the image of Israel as a blood-stained monster, ready at any moment to commit war crimes and not prepared to abide by any moral restraints. This will have severe consequences for our long-term future, our standing in the world, our chance of achieving peace and quiet.

In the end, this war is a crime against ourselves too, a crime against Israel.

SEJAK 18 hari ini seluruh dunia meratap gara-gara kezaliman Israel. Tentera Zionis terus-menerus mengebom, mengganyang rakyat Palestin. Israel, nampaknya terlalu berkuasa.

Saya tidak 'berkuasa' lagi untuk mengulas panjang mengenai peperangan sebelah pihak itu. Tapi saya ingin berkongsi dengan pembaca sekelian, siapa sebenarnya Yahudi ini dan mengapa mereka terlalu berkuasa.

Kita harus kaji secara akademik, ilmiah untuk mengetahui siapa mereka ini.

Saya amat tertarik dengan tulisan seorang penulis bebas, yang juga Pengarah Eksekutif Pusat Penyelidikan dan Kajian Keselamatan (CRSS) Pakistan, Dr. Farrukh Saleem (rujuk http://www.masada2000.org/Powerful-Jews.html) mengenai soal tersebut. Gregory Pincus membangunkan pil perancang keluarga yang pertama. George Wald menang Nobel bagi kajian mata manusia, Standley Cohen dianugerahi Hadiah Nobel dalam kajian embriologi (kajian janin dan perkembangannya). Willem Kolff mencipta mesin dialisis (mencuci) buah pinggang.

Sejak 105 tahun, 14 juta Yahudi menang 15 dozen Hadiah Nobel, sementara tiga dimenangi oleh 1.4 bilion umat Islam.

Mengapa umat Islam terlalu lemah?

Dianggarkan 1,476,233,470 Muslim di atas muka bumi Allah ini. Satu bilion di Asia, 400 juta di Afrika, 44 juta di Eropah dan enam juta di Amerika. Setiap lima insan manusia ialah Muslim. Setiap seorang Hindu ada dua orang Islam, setiap seorang Buddha ada dua orang Islam dan setiap seorang Yahudi ada beratus orang Islam. Mengapa orang Islam terlalu lemah?

Ini jawapannya: Terdapat 57 negara anggota OIC dan jika dicampur semua cuma ada kira-kira 500 buah universiti; atau sebuah universiti untuk setiap tiga juta orang Islam.

AS mempunyai 5,758 universiti dan India ada 8,407. Pada 2004, Shanghai Jiao Tong Universiti membuat kajian 'Kedudukan Akademik Universiti-universiti Dunia' - dan menakjubkan - tiada satu pun universiti-negara Islam yang berada di puncak 500.

Data yang dikumpul dari UNDP, tahap celik huruf di negara maju ialah hampir 90 peratus dan 15 negara itu mempunyai 100 peratus celik huruf. Negara majoriti penduduk Islam, purata kadar celik huruf ialah sekitar 40 peratus dan tiada negara yang mempunyai 100 peratus semuanya celik huruf.

Sekitar 98 peratus penduduk di negara maju menamatkan sekurang-kurang sekolah rendah, sementara hanya 50 peratus di negara majoriti Islam. Sekitar 40 peratus penduduk di negara maju memasuki universiti, sementara hanya 2 peratus di negara majoriti Islam.

Negara-negara majoriti Islam mempunyai 230 ahli sains bagi setiap (per) sejuta penduduk. Di AS 4,000 per sejuta, Jepun 5,000 per sejuta. Di seluruh negara Arab, penyelidik sepenuh masa ialah 35,000 dan hanya 50 juruteknik per sejuta (berbanding di negara maju 1,000 juruteknik per sejuta).

Negara Islam membelanjakan 0.2 peratus daripada KDNK untuk penyelidikan dan pembangunan (R&D) sebaliknya, di negara maju membelanjakan 5 peratus daripada KDNKnya.

Kesimpulan: Dunia Islam kurang keupayaan untuk menghasilkan ilmu pengetahuan.

Akhbar harian yang dibaca oleh setiap 1,000 orang dan jumlah judul buku yang dibaca oleh setiap sejuta orang adalah dua angka tunjuk bagi menentukan sama ada ilmu pengetahuan disalurkan ke dalam masyarakat.

Di Pakistan, hanya ada 23 akhbar harian per 1,000 rakyat Pakistan sementara nisbah di Singapura ialah 360. Di UK, jumlah judul buku per juta orang ialah 2,000 sementara di Mesir ialah 20.

Kesimpulan: Dunia Islam gagal menyalurkan ilmu pengetahuan.

Yang menariknya, jumlah terkumpul KDNK tahunan 57 buah negara ahli OIC ialah di bawah AS$2 trilion. Amerika sahaja, menghasilkan barangan dan perkhidmatan bernilai AS$12 trilion, China AS$8 trilion, Jepun AS$3.8 trilion dan Jerman AS$2.4 trilion.

Pengeluar minyak yang kaya, Arab Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar secara rangkuman menghasilkan barangan dan perkhidmatan (rata-rata minyak) bernilai AS$500 bilion; Sepanyol sahaja menghasilkan barangan dan perkhidmatan bernilai lebih AS$1 trilion, Poland AS$489 bilion dan Thailand AS$545 bilion.

Jadi, mengapa orang Islam tidak berkuasa dan orang Yahudi paling berkuasa?

Jawapannya ialah: Kurangnya ilmu. Kurangnya pendidikan dan kurangnya pelajaran.

Ever since I read its launching in the newspaper, I know that I must acquire this book for my collection. I wandered through many bookstores in Penang, Seremban and Melaka but to find no copies of it.

I have no choice but to call to Institut Terjemahan Negara and after few emails, then I got contacted through phone call and few days after new year, I secured a copy to put onto my shelf.

It is an interesting piece of work, to gather important and significant historical documents and present them to the society to really understand our roots and as well as understand what really goes back so we knew Malaysia as it is today.

Still, however, I do find this piece to be amusing (albeit I found an error, to which I believe a typo - forgot which page, later...) but I do think ITNM should be putting extra work to present them in total. Maps and appendices, no matter how thick they are but should be presented to accompany its original documents. I feel so incomplete for inability to cross-reference with appendices and to see borders separations (Bangkok Treaty 1909, for an example).

One way to avoid extra thickness for the book is by putting maps and appendices into CD-ROM. Not only appendices, the editors can also scan or photograph the original documents and put them together.

In overall, I do feel satisfied with the selected documents and its presentation. I am somehow amused to the document between Sultan of Kedah and Captain Light - to continue as long as the Sun and Moon give light (Aleph's note: giveth instead of give?). I did crossed over one document that read the same pre-amble in my family's archive (which co-incidentally also related and happened somewhere in Kedah).

Seeing the benefits of the book being published, I do hope that in the future ITNM can take progressive work and pour some more effort to bring and publishing other important documents as well. Take for instance - the Concession Agreements. As well as having them in printed, ITNM may also want to consider ebook as well as CD-ROM which last for ages.

Anyway guys, this is a book that should be added into MUST-HAVE list. (Added to Idrewoods' library on 6th of Jan, 2009)

New Year Splurge 2009

It was supposed to be Glasgow, that was what my straight-10 days off for! But things changed pretty drastically, but luckily the transaction was not charged to my credit card, or else I would be paying for nothing. Well, it seems good too, as I don't have to cut my Malay tongue ("ever and ever and ever", I practically have this line all over my cousins). Therefore, here's the other contingency plans....

First plan was to off for Medan (FireFlyz package), but has to cancel it. Change the course to Thailand, but everyone worried. Since, I don't have any plan - I thought that I can leave for Singapore on friend's invitation (travel by train) for Chrismas and New Year, but another plan came ahead and to cancel as well. Damn!!!!

So, on 31st I went for last meeting for the year 2008 and got back home do nothing but watching Queer as Folk (season 4).

The next morning, a friend called over and say "Let's splurge" to Jerejak Resort! At last, an unplanned program seems to work better.

Being a delegation representing techBiz Penang for the event, but since it has something that against my principle, I have to take myself much earlier than I am supposed.

Organised by Penang State, with invited speakers among others; Datuk Seri Nizar (Perak Mentri Besar), Tan Sri Khalid (Selangor Mentri Besar) and Datuk Husam Musa (PAS Vice President).

During his welcoming note, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has quoted that China was about to spend 4 Trillion Dollars and a check-up later, I found out it was 4 Trillion Yuans NOT Dollars. Perhaps his speech-writer wants to make sure this "fact-misleading" won't happen again.

But one quote that I remember the most:

Ok, there was a mishap this morning that requires me to send over my car for cleaning. So, I went to carwash in Seberang Jaya and asked them to wash in and out as well as taken out the back seat for proper cleaning. It supposed to cost me RM35 and checking my wallet, I am short of RM5 - forgot to check earlier. Watching desperately over to a friend that she may perhaps be able to lend me, the owner then said "We accept card!"

Waah.... I am mesmerised that nowaday I can use card to make payment nearly everywhere and what bring another momentum into that mesmerisation, the fact that cashless mode accepted at carwash!

Bravo Malaysia!

Movie Review: Twilight (2008)

Yeah.. It is movie day (Wednesday) that you can go for RM5 at TGV. Friends came over from Terengganu, spending their annual holiday in Penang and their first stop was visiting me (I do appreciate that, though) and asked if we can go out for leisure time and spend an evening somewhere. He'd want to watch Twilight as he (and so do I) prefers vampire kind of thing. We both followed Moonlight (vampire series) and I have watched Van Helsing (like twice).

The movie started with pretty gloomy introduction and characters shown to be nice - perhaps it was because they live in small town that people knew each other quite well, I guess.

No, this is not the first time that I watched vampires who don't drink from human (be him dead or alive) - Supernatural has that, vampires who feed on animal's blood and Moonlight who feeds from not-so-fresh blood of dead body taken from morgue.

As Moonlight tries to show diverting part of "new" and "modern" vampires who lives to be stock-broker, detectives and other professional roles while at they same time they are NOT affected by direct-sunlight. Twilight shows glittering skin when a vampire exposed to sunlight while Moonlight just show that vampires don't mind but cannot get over exposed.

Ok, enough comparison I think - this is not about Moonlight.

The FIRST one hour is pretty slow (it runs for two hours) and kinda flat. It goes for a little peak towards the end, but doesn't really off the chart. Perhaps if Twilight can show different angle of Cullens life and show what the rest do for living and how do they think.

The plot of killing another vampire in Phoenix does not go to the extend of full intention of "hunting" that shows the vampire to be very smart in thinking and designing situation. It perhaps be better if that involve more and more antagonist parts of showing affection towards love and restraining of killing same kind.

While the ending may not be what we have expected, I do think that this movie shall have sequel and heard (read somewhere) that they are going to have TV series on this. I don't know - to follow or not. Prefer metropolitan- compared to country-vampire.

(Last night scenes, I am sure have been cut many and at many places, thus needed me to wait for full unrated DVD to go out to watch again.)

Ok, if I were allowed to rate, I'd give 1 for the storyline (vampires) and 1 for stunning camera movement (which shows the aerial view of the Forks country-side), making the total of 2 out 5.

Trying Fried Mee Sotong at Esplanade and Visiting Fort Cornwallis

There are many stalls by the field, across the Municipal building. I have never tried this and never know that there is its kind. Until finally, a friend told me of mee sotong (sambal squid mee). Since we are already there and I have been in Penang like six years but never go into the fort - I took the chance.

This is the course. Fried mee and topped with squid sambal. It is kind of hot but you'll never know the experience of tasting new food unless you have one. Wish I can have another plate, but will keep that for later.

This is I enjoyed most being in kampung. There's always feast that you can eat as many as you want to the level you want.

This is the bull that a family tendered for sacrifice.

Don't know la... But this time around, it is pretty much bored - I spent most of the time lying on couch, while one hand holding to one jar with the rest just a grab away. Then head back to my home in Penang about 5.30 - now I can speed (as the fuel has been cheaper!)

Sunan Drajat - Delicious Mutton Satay!

Went to CIMB to pay car loan installment and later have nothing to do, (and luckily) got called from Saiful. Asking to join him for bowling at Summit, Bukit Mertajam. He picked me up and our first stop would be Sunan Drajat - an Indonesian restaurant and of course with Indonesian cuisine.

Their sign board. My search on Wikipedia explains that Sunan Drajat is a name of royal prince.

So, this is how you start. Squeeze the lime onto the peanut gravy, and believe me - it is hot! Unlike to Malays gravy which is more sweetened, this one has been blended with red hot chilly.

Have I mentioned that we are having stick-grilled mutton (satay)? You have to pour on squeezed juice and mixed it with its spicy gravy to curb the "nausea"-lamb taste and the burning hot chilly. Unlike to other places, by either having the satay with its gravy and also sometime with rice cakes - this one served with soup and plain rice.

You can either dip the satay into the spicy gravy or pour the gravy itself onto your rice. Whichever you prefer...

Then, it is bowling time... I am not a player - just one strike in two games. I can't throw the ball harder anymore - had excision on my back years ago...
